That’s it for this arc! As I mentioned before, I’m taking February off from comic-making duties. Why? Because I have a small mountain of new projects to kick off while the year is young, and because I need to recharge. Drawing a serialised comic is a lot harder than I thought it would be!

Speaking of embarrassing, I have to retract earlier statements made about taking January off. I was planning to crank out several comics before I went away on a little trip up the coast. That didn’t happen. I have reasons for it, but they’re boring things like wisdom tooth removal and maintaining a social life.

So I’ll be turning out comics through January, then taking February off instead. Got it? Comics in January, no comics in February.

Technical power and experience versus authority. It’s really hard to know whose advice you should take. True professionals will always put their pride aside and listen to new ideas, but as we’ve seen before, Brock doesn’t always act like a true professional.

Quick heads up – I’ll be taking a break from drawing and writing Waiting On Tables in January.  Recent health issues have started to sap my creativity. You may  have noticed that I’ve gone from three updates a week to one. I could say that’s the difference between shift work/unemployment and a full-time job, but that’s not the whole of it. Taking a short break will, I think, let me recharge the batteries and get back to telling lighthearted stories about hospitality shenanigans.

However, I’ll make sure we get this arc to a comfortable place before we close off for a month. Nothing worse than an extended cliffhanger, right?
